The Faces of The Square: Rico Gatson

Meet New York-based artist @rico_gatson, whose striking mural, Mountain Top, adorns the Gardenia Garage.⁣⁣ Gatson is known for creating geometric artworks often based on significant moments in black history.⁣⁣

This particular mural is inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s final speech in which he says, “I have been to the mountaintop and I have seen the promised land.”⁣⁣
