WEST PALM BEACH, FL – September 9, 2022 – Home to the region’s most robust culinary collection, The Square announces the inaugural “Taste of the Square” culinary event on October 20th in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The Downtown district will transform into a gastronomic destination offering ticket holders a dozen chef curated bites alongside live music, pop-up bar on the lawn, and a special VIP experience that includes early access and beverage. The festival supports the Promise Fund of Florida, a non-profit that aims to prevent the unnecessary progression of breast and cervical cancer, with a donation of 100 percent of the net proceeds.

“The Square has become synomymous with exceptional culinary experiences, bringing nationally and regionally celebrated chefs into West Palm Beach. Now, with our debut Taste of The Square event, we invite everyone to experience exclusively prepared dishes from a dozen of our restaurants in one evening, all while benefiting a great cause,” says Sasha Jozefczyk, Director of Marketing & Experience at Related Companies. “Many of us know someone who has been affected by breast cancer and that is why we are so proud to partner with Promise Fund of Florida and contribute to overall awareness of this serious health issue that impacts our community.”

Taking place from 6:00 - 9:30pm, attendees can sample appetizers, entrees and desserts from the following participating restaurants: PLANTA, True Food Kitchen, Galley at Hilton West Palm Beach, sweetgreen, The Salty Donut, BurgerFi, II Bellagio, Angie’s Epicurean, City Pizza, El Camino, Sloan’s, and Taqueria Bonitas among others.

A pop-up bar will be set up on the lawn by True Food Kitchen serving a signature refresher drink and craft cocktail for the evening, plus beer and wine, while live music will be performed by Ka’villa. And a pink Baptist Health ‘fact truck’ will be onsite discussing early detection and screenings.

“We’re honored to be a part of Taste of The Square this October to support breast cancer awareness,” says Matt Largent, West Palm Beach General Manager of True Food Kitchen. “We believe that food should make you feel better and it's our philosophy to be involved and give back to the community in any way we can. We look forward to helping raise funds alongside event-goers, and having an overall great time with music, food and drinks.”

Tickets start at $35 for general admission. VIP passes are priced at $55 and includes 30 minute advanced access to event (5:30-6PM) plus a drink ticket, complimentary parking and swag bag. There will be only one “taste” per ticket at each restaurant. Guests are encouraged to purchase on Eventbrite prior to the event as space is limited.
