Meet the Movers of Dance All Day Festival
On April 29th The Square hosts Dance. All. Day. Fest, a community festival with Natural Movers Foundation that encourages movement, creativity and fun for all ages. This free event will includes community dance classes led by local teaching artists, pop-up performances by some of South Florida's most talented artists and companies, a marketplace featuring interactive arts activities, dance & activewear for sale, delicious local fare from The Square restaurants and more. Before we get to the 8-count, meet the instructors who will take your dance routine to another level.
Natalie Addison lives a life of pursuing what she loves. Movement has always been the root of her passions and she loves sharing it. Natalie is a former professional dancer and started her performance career at 18 years old. Her dance resume filled with countless cruise ship, theater, casino and entertainment contract work for over 12 years. Through dance she found herself working in other modalities of movement. She now has rooted deep in the fitness, mobility and yoga industry here in West Palm Beach, FL. She is incredibly versatile in teaching all styles of movement classes. As a full time personal trainer she holds various certifications and works with clients in achieving their potential. On top of personal training, Natalie expands her offerings through programs to people in need, in schools, with athletes, with law enforcement and by creating more events within the community. She has found purpose in guiding others towards living a more mindful life and believes that movement and mobility are key to longevity.
Larry Albright Graduated with a BA concentrated in Hip Hop culture from Rutgers University in 2003, Mr. Larry has been teaching, dancing, training and performing his style of hip-hop for 20+ years. He has had the pleasure of choreographing for artists such as Sean Kingston “Fire Burning,” JRand "Ride," & Black Dada “Imma Zoe”. He has also been featured as an opening act for such artists as B.O.B., T-Pain, Cobra Starship, Ricky Martin, Sean Paul, The Spinners and the Village People.
Sonja Kelly is the Founder & Artistic Director of Divinity Dance. Since its inception in 2005, she has had the opportunity to share her passion for dance throughout Palm Beach County and beyond. Sonja has served as a teaching artist and presenter for organizations such as the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Cultural Council of Palm Beach County, Prime Time Palm Beach County, Young Singers of the Palm Beaches, Center for Creative Education, YMCA of South Palm Beach County, and Palm Beach County Literacy Coalition. Sonja has also served as an adjunct professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University and as an artist in residence at various public and charter schools. In addition, she has used her formal training in education and dance to serve as a speaker and writer for arts integrated curriculum. Sonja graduated with honors from Florida A & M University where she earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Prior to establishing Divinity Dance she was a teacher at Suncoast High School and was selected as the 2005-2006 Palm Beach County Teacher of the Year. In 2015 she returned to the school district as a dance teacher at Glade View Elementary School of the Arts. During her tenure, she helped to develop the school’s arts programming and secure grant funding and support from organizations such as The Kravis Center, Disney Musicals in Schools, The Education Foundation, and the Ventus Charitable Foundation. At Glade View, she was also a 2018 recipient of the Broadway League’s Apple Educator Award. She later transitioned back to high school as a dance teacher at Riviera Beach Preparatory & Achievement Academy. Above all, she is grateful and humbled to use her God given gift of dance and the creative arts to positively impact and serve others and the community.
Ericka Squire is an artist and an academician who seeks to support and advance the arts through quality dance training, artistic programming, creative research and choreography Ericka began her training with Joan Miller of Palm Beach Ballet. Therafter, she received her BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Central Florida, an Ed.M. in Dance Education from Temple University and a MFA in Choreography from Jacksonville University/White Oak. Ericka performed professionally with the Bohemian Ballet Company and U-Turn Dance Company in Orlando, Florida, as well as with Kariamu and Company: Traditions in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has received the opportunity to receive training from world renowned dance and theatre artists like Kimmika Williams-Witherspoon, Alonzo King, Mario Zambrano, Juri Nael, Kun Yang Lin and Heather Hansen. Ericka is a dance technician and educator with 20 years of experience. She has taught at ballet schools such as Palm Beach Ballet, Ballet Palm Beach and Boca Ballet, within K-12 in the state of Florida and New York, as a professor of dance at Miami Dade College, Broward College and Palm Beach Atlantic University, and as a dance examiner with the International Baccalaureate Organization. Currently, Ericka serves as an Artist in Residence with The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts and as an Adjunct Professor of Dance with Palm Beach Atlantic University. She is also the Founder and CEO of the Natural Movers Foundation- a non-profit arts organization that seeks to support the artistic progression of Palm Beach County and is the Founder and Choreographer of Ericka Squire//The Dance Company.
Michelle Shannon is a working artist, actress, dance choreographer & teacher, and an all around performer. After graduating from Dreyfoos School of the Arts, with a major in Dance & Musical Theatre, she went on to pursue her career in dance and acting throughout South Florida & beyond. Such work includes but is not limited to:
- Modeling for World of Dance and YouFit Fitness
- Performing with Independent Artists
- Brand House Leadership (Event Planner, Promoting)
- Choreographing for Weddings, Parties, Group/Solo Events
- Film And Theatre Production
Michelle’s personal interests include a love for traveling and culinary skills.
