Related Rising Stars 2023 Recipients

As a part of the Related Rising Stars, a program that provides funds to deserving Palm Beach County students, Related Companies awarded a $2k scholarship to Kappa Upsilon Charitable Foundation; they awarded this year’s scholarship to Laila Dixon and Shia Rozier.

- Laila Dixon was the salutatorian at Santaluces Community High School with a 4.0 GPA. She was in National Honor Society, the varsity basketball captain, in student government, a peer tutor for geometry students, and volunteered her time in collection drives and her church as a Children’s Praise Dance Ministry Leader. Laila began at Howard University this fall in Washington, D.C. She is interested in a career involving child development opportunities and business.

- The second recipient, Shia Rozier, was the salutatorian at Palm Beach Lakes Community High School with a 4.0 GPA. She was in National Honor Society, a Merit Scholar, the mock trial captain, youth court lead prosecutor, treasurer of the student government association, a varsity cheerleader, president of her Best Buddies chapter, president of Twenty Pearls that volunteered in toy drives and served holiday meals and was an employee at the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. Shia is attending North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina and plans to go to law school.
