West Elm partners with NAACP

West Elm announces a partnership with NAACP and pledges to support local black artists by providing them with a showcase space.

West Elm at The Square is partnering with Anthony Burks, a native Floridian and conceptual fine and commercial artist, whose work spans numerous forms of media including charcoal, pen & ink, pastels, watercolors, and color pencil. Meet the artist in person on March 18th and experience his creative process first hand with live art. Selected pieces will be available for sell as well.

The Art Institute graduate has won awards and contests including Best of Show in several different art shows. Anthony has exhibited his artwork at various galleries, museums, and events. In 2020, Anthony landed a major public art commission with the Canopy Hilton Hotel in West Palm Beach. Also in the summer of 2021, Anthony had an acquisition from the Norton Museum of Art. His two pieces of art, mirror Black and Juneteenth were both put into the R.H. Norton Permanent Collection.
